Osteotomes, Chisels etc.
Osteotomes, chisels, mallets and other bone instruments from Stille are made of high quality hardened steel, with particularly high strength to avoid breakage or bending.
The hardness of STILLE bone instruments increases resistance to wear and the toughness of the steel determines how well the instrument can withstand great strain for long periods of time. The choice of material with just the right hardness value (HRC) in combination with the manufacturing method provides the instrument with its unique cutting properties. The edges are placed at the perfect angle for maximum cutting performance. The tip is stiff enough so that it will not get caught in the bone, and soft enough to give way when in contact with i mplants. Special sharpening techniques allow the instruments to remain sharp for extended periods before they need to be resharpened. The handles are ergonomically designed for a fi rm and comfortable grip. Stille was the fi rst in the world to manufacture osteotomes and over the years the instruments have become known for their unique properties. The classic Stille osteotome is known the world over.
